Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22nd, 1984 at New York City New York. She is an American actor and singer whose talents have won her recognition across many kinds of genres, from thrillers to adventures to period films. Johansson was raised in New York City as the daughter of an architect, and also the owner of a production company. Hunter Her twin brother and She were the youngest of a family of four. When she was a kid she was able to begin performing. At seven, she had already auditioned for a number of commercials. The passion for acting developed rapidly and she soon after to the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. When she was eight years old, she starred with Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in an Off-Broadway show. And at age nine her debut film was Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson made her debut as a character in Just Cause (1996), however she was Manny & Lo 1996 that was her breakthrough. The film is about two young girls that have fled to escape. For The Horse Whisperer, Johansson was a teenager who suffered an incredibly tragic accident. Her role in Ghost World brought her more notoriety as the infamous teenager Rebecca. Smith found her first role acting at the age of age six with the help of her parents. She created a commercial with Dannon. As many new actresses have done, she decided to further develop her talent in theatre. As she worked on other productions in the USA she also made her stage debut with Wildflower. She was educated in Stonestreet Studios, the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
